Behind the scenes we are currently busy improving the Hall. We have replaced the flat roof in the back annex of the hall. The back room and hallway have been redecorated and new flooring will follow soon. We hope this will make this vital space a more inviting and comfortable place to be.
The front of the Hall, rhones & downpipes have been painted which has vastly improved the look of the Hall. A generous grant from The Weir Foundation enabled this work to go ahead for which we are very grateful. Hall funds were used to paint the main Hall's ceiling & walls. We are delighted with the outcome and hope you are too! We were delighted to receive Lottery Funding which will be used to get our stage ready for productions/performances. Look out for updates. Meikleour Village Hall have recently secured a small grant of £262.00 from Scotmid & £1,000 from Tesco Bags of Help for badminton equipment. The Badminton Launch Night is Wednesday 3rd October. Hope to see you there. Future Projects The Hall's windows are in a terrible state and require to be refurbished/replaced. This will be a huge project and will require lots of funding and determination! A task we will relish. Various parts of the Hall require painting and general tidying up. We hope to complete these tasks during our maintenance weekends. There are constant maintenance projects in place for the Hall all of which require funding. If you know of any grants available or have any fundraising ideas we would love to hear from you Updated 17/07/18 AuthorArchivesNo Archives Categories |
